91ÆÞÓÑ Certificate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Lead

The 91ÆÞÓÑ values the diversity amongst its Members' Schools and aims to support them to celebrate their diversity and promote equality, ensuring that all children and young people receive the highest of quality education. Supporting through high calibre professional development ensures our members' schools remain current, maintain best practice and have the opportunity to really develop and embed a whole school ethos and approach to equity, diversity and inclusion.

91ÆÞÓÑ has developed the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Pathway [EDIP] that can be practised as individual courses if required or completed in its entirety to receive the 91ÆÞÓÑ Certificate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Lead.

The EDIP pathway covers current details of all protected characteristics and aims to increase participants' knowledge, enables them to apply practical policies and processes within their settings as well as have a clear understanding of the legal framework.

Those who achieve the award will receive framed certification from the Association, and the acknowledgement of their peers through recognition in the 91ÆÞÓÑ newsletter and social media.

This certificate will add value to your credentials, as a demonstration of your advanced leadership skills and continuing development.


To be awarded the 91ÆÞÓÑ Certificate for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Lead, the following five courses must be completed along with a case study based on your setting.

EDI Case Study for [Name of Setting]

91ÆÞÓÑ recognises and celebrates the individuality of its Member Schools. The purpose of this requirement is to enable and encourage participants to fully engage with the training in their own settings. There is no regulated format to the case study, but all areas listed below must be covered.

Participants are given two years from attending their first session to achieve the certificate and should maintain a record of when each session was attended. Once all is completed, dates of attended sessions and the completed case study should be sent to the Professional Development Team
