A colourful co-curricular calendar… DLD College London launches enrichment programme
DLD College London has launched an extensive enrichment calendar for the 2021/2022 academic year, hosting its first whole-school major event this year, a Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) Fair.
The CCA Fair held in the multi award-winning college’s grand atrium offered students an invaluable opportunity to discover the many clubs, societies and activities on offer this year. The programme provides an extensive list of Academic, Arts and Sporting opportunities to supplement the learning in college and is an important element of the school timetable, enabling students to develop new friendships, whilst learning soft skills such as time management and commitment.
The leading independent school has changed its school day this year to accommodate the programme, with the all-important co-curricular activities taking a designated slot in the timetable. Students are encouraged to sign up to a minimum of two activities, unless they are in their final year of A levels when they will do only one.
With over fifty diverse activities available, enthusiastic students can participate in sports such as Boxing, Football and Fencing, join like-minded students in the Law, Herodotus and International Societies, and delve into clubs including Knit and Natter, Ukulele Band and Graphic Animation.
DLD College London Principal, Irfan Latif commented, “We are proud to launch our extensive co-curricular programme for this academic year at a whole-school event, with an array of activities designed to supplement and extend the first-class work done in the classroom. The innovative programme is built around our students needs and wants, supporting them on their educational journey and developing their whole character.”
